Cheesecake Day/Happiness Happens Day/Prank Night
2006-08-08 @ 11:23 p.m.

Connectivity exercise today for the operator platoon, but it was just a replay of what happened with the specialists, so I won't bore you with the details. I recently persuaded my mum to start subscribing to HBO again, since it has not a few shows this month that I've wanted to see at some point or another. What convinced her was my uncharacteristically generous suggestion that I pay for the subscription, as well as the promotional price currently being offered. Anyway, the point of that short preamble is that today I saw Shark Tale and Betrayal. Shark Tale was actually a lot more boring than I'd expected. I mean, Finding Nemo made me feel a bit warm and fuzzy, but Shark Tale was just irritating at times. I suppose it didn't help that Will Smith voiced one of the main characters, and I don't really like him. Plot-wise, let's just say that the most original thing it had was a sissy shark. Surprisingly, Betrayal was quite a disappointment. I've seen the play before, and while I wasn't completely bowled over by that, I still enjoyed it nonetheless. The film, on the other hand, quickly grew tedious. The dialogue would have worked for a play, but for a movie, it was just awkward. I couldn't imagine anyone speaking like that, and if they did in bygone decades, they were freaking stilted, okay?
