Not very happy with today's worship, but I suppose it's because I'm not used to playing with this particular band and they're not used to my leading too. Still, I think our church needs to be more open to including newer songs in worship. It's come to a point where I can predict with almost 100% accuracy which songs will go down well with most people and which won't. It's a bit odd when you find yourself planning a songlist based on whether it contains enough songs to keep everyone happy. Apparently, it's now become necessary for the worship leader to appear before the congregation in more formal attire, including a tie, which is kind of a problem for me. To begin with, I only own two shirts that can be worn with a tie without looking ridiculous. Furthermore, I don't like wearing ties. Oh well...
