I want to strangle my trainees! This is my very first summary exercise, and I'm in the node at Ama Keng. We had to detour from our intended deployment site because someone was already using that area, so that meant no training shed for us CSOs to relax in. Didn't mind that so much, since we were all very slack anyway. We were posing for pictures just before the trainees started tearing everything down in preparation for the night phase! Too bad this sort of atmosphere probably won't last when our new boss takes over. Lots of changes happening in terms of organisational structure, but it's all beyond my control, so I should just learn to accept what's coming. Anyway, back to why I want to strangle my trainees. I don't know why, but everything seems to be taking longer than usual today. We left camp really late, and we didn't actually start setting up anything until it was coming to noon. Then you have trainees laying wires and cables right in front of the tailboard of the Unimogs, just waiting to trip someone up. Don't they have a modicum of common sense? Now I'm just waiting for the night phase to end, so that I can go back to camp and get some sleep. Sigh...
