Cheesecake Day/Kiss Your Car Day
2006-07-30 @ 11:38 p.m.

Did backup for Chee Seng today, which I found a bit of a ho-hum affair. Not enough practice, I guess. Today was the third time our church was having the Community Awareness Programme, and I still don't like doing it. It's not that I don't want to "reach out to the neighbourhood". I just don't think this is the best way. Not everyone is temperamentally suited to be involved in or to respond to such an activity. Inevitably, some people were friendly, some were less so. The funniest thing that happened was when Myrtle thought the woman who answered the door was a maid, and asked if her boss was at home. To which the woman simply replied something along the lines that she was the boss and gently closed the door on us. How's that for a laugh?
