Rain Day/Final Frontier Day
2006-07-29 @ 11:52 p.m.

Vaish was flying to the USA today, so I went to see her off. I'm going to miss you! I'm glad I got to catch up with her when we went to see Cabaret. A bunch of Humanities people and some of her other friends were also there to bid her adieu. It's finally starting to sink in, the notion that practically half of my RJC friends are flying off by the end of September. We'll all be just an e-mail or long-distance call away, but it's not the same as knowing you can just round up everyone for a couple of drinks or a play. Anyway, it wasn't one of those dramatically emotional farewell scenes, which isn't the way I like them anyway. I don't tear easily, let alone cry, except at really random moments when I'm singing some song in my head that just gets to me. So now Vaish's off on her American adventure! You'd better write, or I won't speak to you when you get back. Believe me, I'll write back, I really will!

After waving goodbye, I stoned in the train with Eugene and Mel. He was supposed to accompany me to Parco Bugis Junction to check out the New World Order sale, but he bailed at Tanah Merah and went off with Mel in the opposite direction. So I ended up wandering around the shopping centre, trying to find the store. In the end, it turns out that this particular outlet mostly sells ladies' clothes, so I retraced my steps to Topman. I now own a $53 top, which is like the second most expensive article of casual wear I own. It's nice though! Then it was time to head to church for my cell meeting. Supper after that was fun. I love hanging out with my church friends. We were at the stretch of eateries opposite Beauty World. I had an apple prata, which is really just pieces of apple in a prata. Wow. I'm definitely not ordering it again! Haha...
