Took my first lesson today as a CSO. It's funny being on the other side of the fence. Now all those future sergeants are the sorry ones who look absolutely clueless when faced with a piece of equipment. Sometimes I wonder what exactly makes them so different from us. Just because they can run faster, jump further, pull more and so on, they're somehow more important in the eyes of everyone. I don't say better, because trust me, some of them can be really dumb. I don't think even we were as silly when we were undergoing training as operators! You know what's even funnier? Some of them even seem genuinely afraid of us, as if they expect us to start yelling at them any moment, even though it's plain to see that the rank sewn on their sleeves is bigger than what we haven't got sewn on ours. It's nice to be respected for a change. I'm tired of being ordered around by people who've done nothing to earn my respect and servility. This week: Coffee Week |
