Just got back from home, where I picked up Hoban's Pilgermann and Fremder. The former's typesetting makes for somewhat daunting reading, so I'll read the latter first. We've been threatened with Saturday confinement because our area cleaning wasn't good enough. Personally, I don't give tuppence. If we have to be confined, so be it. It's not the first time I'll be punished for something I didn't do, which incidentally only started happening after I enlisted. If people don't like taking the blame for things they've done, naturally it follows that taking the blame for what they haven't done isn't to be countenanced. I believe NS doesn't mould you into a better person. That, if it occurs at all, is merely incidental. What NS does do is amplify your inherent virtues and vices. Guys, ask yourself if that isn't true...
