Passed a few more tests today, bringing me a step closer to the end of this dreary course. All that's left is a driving assessment tomorrow and the actual driving test next week, which I'm praying desperately to pass on my first attempt. (Anything for that two days of off!) It's partly a matter of personal pride. Not having failed at nearly everything I put my hand to, I don't like to start now. Have finished reading The Joke, so I'm now alternating between William Steuart McBirnie's The Search For The Twelve Apostles and Oliver Goldsmith's The Vicar Of Wakefield. The former's something I dug out of my dad's collection of Christian literature. The latter's some random novel I bought in a store at Bras Basah Complex because it was cheap and an Oxford World's Classic. I notice that nowadays I go to sleep dreading the next day's arrival, which I then live through resignedly when it does arrive. Like what sort of crappy life is that anyway?
