Kay Hwee's posted to SI for the SOCC. He called right after I woke up in the coach, so I was kind of spaced out. Haha! Just finished listening to a BBC report on the Anglican Communion, and it sounds like schism is nearer than ever over the homosexuality issue. I believe this isn't about progressives and traditionalists battling for control over the direction of the church. It's about a Laodicean attitude to religion, a church that's increasingly content to blend into the world at the expense of its own identity. A careful reading of the Bible will show that in both Old and New Testaments, the homosexual lifestyle was condemned as incompatible with the Christian faith. To insist otherwise is to start down the slippery slope to heresy. You can't just custom-fit your faith to capture as many people as possible. People change in response to the message, not the other way round!
