Poetry Day/World No Tobacco Day/Dragon Boat Festival (China)
2006-05-31 @ 7:27 p.m.

I'm not sure whether the interview was good, just okay or bad. What I do know is that I wasn't asked about current affairs, and they kept trying to trap me with my own words. They seemed rather concerned to know if what I wanted to do was really teaching, so maybe I'm going to end up shunted directly to MOE, which would mean no disruption. Oh well, the outcome will be known in about a week. Keeping my fingers crossed! Apparently, they were quite nasty to Zi Jian and Derrick, who went in right before me, so I guess they're just out to make life difficult for everyone. Driving course is probably starting next Monday, and I guess it'll be fun learning something new again. If anything, it's a chance for a reunion of sorts with those who got posted to other units after our course ended. "For most people, the past is golden, the future rosy. And the present? Ask us next year."
