Morse Code Day/Spring Festival (Kentucky)/Rice Festival (South Carolina)
2006-04-27 @ 3:07 p.m.

Practical lesson ended early, as is usually the case. Instructor warned us that life in our new unit won't be so slack, but one of the operators also mentioned there's some chance of getting posted back to SI because there are people who will ORD this year. Ah well, let the future take care of itself. These days, I live in and for the present. Just another 10 days to my birthday! One year older and not much wiser. Haha! Do you think the people who claim NS changed them are liars or just very impressionable? I don't think it has changed me very much, at least not at the fundamental level. I suppose there are people who genuinely believe in all this, and good for them. Whether that can be generalised for the whole cohort is another matter altogether. Going to read now to pass the time until dinner...
