Must blog this for posterity. Was at Shahi Maharani in Raffles City today for lunch, as Vaish couldn't find anything to eat at Nooch. So Mel, Thong, Vaish and I were catching up on each other's post-JC lives when we noticed a bunch of Mediacorp artistes across the room, including Adrian Pang and Fiona Xie. (What are the odds that someone will find this page by Googling for those names?) Turns out there was a shoot going on at Shahi Maharani, and they were waiting for our table! We were so mortified, despite the manager's assurances that as customers, we had priority in the restaurant's eyes. We really should have gone over and apologised, if only to talk to local celebrities for fun. Who knows? We might have been spotted and cast as extras somewhere. Haha! Damn. There goes my shot at fame. Anyway, the food there was great, and I think it's really worth a second visit. I say that about a lot of places, but I never seem to go back eventually. Like Max Brenner's The Chocolate Bar. Like The Tapas Tree. Like Romano. Sigh. I almost couldn't have worship practice after cell meeting, because Kar Foon forgot that Gerald wasn't playing and she didn't pass me the key to the music room. Fortunately, the Chinese congregation was having a barbeque, so the deaconess lent me her key. Thank God for that! This week: National Park Week |
