Look Up At The Sky Day/Big Wind Day/Passover
2006-04-12 @ 5:10 p.m.

Have almost reached the end of the Borges anthology, which is just as well, since it's far too thick to bring along for tomorrow's guard duty. I'll be reading Hoban's The Medusa Frequency instead, if I can keep my eyes open, although I suspect what I'll really need is Coelho's The Zahir, which coincidentally also features in a story in the Borges anthology. The Zahir, not Coelho. There is something very cheering about reading anything by Coelho. We had a voice procedure exercise today, and I felt like strangling not a few people for their incompetence. This is only one of the most straightforward things we've learnt, and some guys still can't get it right. We're not even talking about perfection here, since I screwed up a couple of times too, but just a little more alertness would have sufficed. Am discovering new realms of tiredness, and I don't think I've been this sleep-deprived since my J1 days...
