Was almost late because I spent half an hour trying to flag down a taxi. Now I know better. When I got here, I saw some people from my platoon, but neither of my classmates. Kind of disappointed initially, especially when I realised none of my old platoonmates were joining me in my new platoon. All that changed, however, when I learnt that my posting had been changed, so now I definitely don't have to run around carrying a radio set. Isn't that neat? Incidentally, Wilson, Eugene's good friend, is in my bunk, so that's pretty cool. I probably won't be blogging much about what I do here in future, at least not the specifics. Most of it's restricted for reasons of national security, although some of it's really just plain old secondary school Physics. Like teaching you that conventional current is just a complete misunderstanding by scientists of how electricity actually works. Anyway, the training for a signal operator is supposed to stretch you mentally, so signals isn't necessarily a slack vocation, I guess. This week: Spring Bubble Week |
