Let's Laugh Day/St. Joseph's Day/Chocolate Caramel Day/Swallows Day
2006-03-19 @ 7:02 p.m.

Oh man. I'm incredibly tired right now, and I still have to pack all my stuff to report to my new camp tomorrow. We had a bridge marathon from 1 am to 5 am, and Hui Juan's terrible at bridge. Ben Woon and Thong are going to Stagmont too, so maybe I'll be seeing them in my bunk tomorrow. It'll be nice to have a few friendly faces around. We did the seder during YE, so those of us coming back from the retreat made it just in time. The seder wasn't a completely new experience for me actually, since I've done it before a few years ago, also with the YE. Felt like skipping main service, but there was no way for me to get hold of the house keys, so I had to stay in church anyway. Went out for a late lunch with the YE people, so I missed almost the entire sermon. Rushed home to pack but I'm reading House Of Leaves instead. Leafing through The Whalestoe Letters, I think Pelafina's plight is a crucial piece of the labyrinthine puzzle that is Danielewski's debut novel. With a debut as stunning as House Of Leaves, his sophomore effort, Only Revolutions, has a lot to live up to.
