Uranus Day/Purim
2006-03-13 @ 10:48 p.m.

Was originally scheduled to be one of the reserves for today's guard duty, but I managed to escape thanks to the RSAF invitation. Can't really say much about the places I visited today, but I'll tell you this, I'm very tempted to sign on as a pilot. Kind of makes me regret not putting in more effort to train for my IPPT, since there's no way I can become a pilot if I don't get into OCS. Oh well, at least I've maintained my record of not doing guard duty in Tekong. Didn't get a good dinner because this captain was talking to us the whole time and I felt it was kind of rude to just walk away to get food, especially since he was trying to be helpful and to explain what signing on to the RSAF involves. Incidentally, pilots get paid insane amounts of money, so if you're thinking of signing on, I recommend you seriously consider that vocation. In any case, the RSAF is the nicest place to work at, if my neighbour's son is to be believed.
