House Of Leaves has a seductive quality to it that just grabs you and sucks you into the world of the book. It's a pity it's so bulky, otherwise I'd bring it back to Tekong. Due to some miscommunication, vocal training was cancelled, so I stayed for the whole YE session. My prayer request today was something I'd never seriously considered asking for before. I asked to be content with my life. Not in the sense of being complacent or lacking ambition, but in the sense of feeling gratitude for what I've been given. That's not too much to want, is it? With just over a week to go, I find that I'm somewhat resigned to my fate, which is to accept whatever this messed up system decides to throw at me. It's so much easier to just shut up and play along for two years, for your whole life. This is not a country that tolerates the individual.
