Tennis Day/Banana Bread Day
2006-02-23 @ 9:35 p.m.

Am slightly closer to passing my IPPT than before. Just need two more pull-ups, although I sort of cheated by jumping off the step to get some momentum. Suddenly, I feel like just accepting whatever posting I get after BMT. A change of heart? We shall see how long it lasts. Definitely going to catch Never The Sinner on Saturday, provided we do actually get the tickets. On a totally random note, there are only four people in my bunk I want to remain in touch with after March 7. They come from (relatively) varied walks of life, so it's quite surprising that I've managed to click with them to some extent. I'm mostly indifferent to the others. Even in Tekong, you can't escape politics. What's worse, you can't tell people what you really think of them, at least not until like one day before POP. I miss being able to cut people down mercilessly, evil as such behaviour may be. I used to think our section was really bonded, but now I think that unity was just a temporary edifice cobbled together to get us through the first two weeks of confinement. So young, so cynical, so honest.
