Finally met Shaun in Tekong, which was great. He's one of my few friends who can brighten my day just by being there. People really ought to learn to smile more! Technically, I actually saw him on the day I left for my situational tests. That was at the sinks during breakfast. I only realised it was him when he turned to walk off, but there wasn't time to say hello properly anyway. Not that we got to talk today either. I just snapped my fingers in front of his face as I was passing him and we both grinned in recognition. As for the live grenade throw, it was over so quickly that I felt somewhat cheated. Frankly, I was even less nervous for this than live range, even though throwing a grenade is probably more dangerous. I had to sit for 15 minutes with a live grenade in my webbing because some idiot couldn't throw properly and a blind resulted. Why are some people so screwed up?
