Went back to RJC today for kicks, and damn, I miss school. Not the studying part, but I miss my tutors and my friends a lot. Mr Tay thinks I should come be a Mathematics relief teacher, and I think he's actually quite serious about that, which is vaguely disturbing. Saw most of my tutors and they haven't changed much, except I think Mr Sowden's lost weight. Mr Rollason misses teaching European History. Oh, guess what Mr Purvis is teaching this year? Antony & Cleopatra. They're also doing Great Expectations, which is impressively thick compared to anything I ever studied in my two years. Had a late lunch at a delightful Japanese restaurant, after spending about $150 on books at Kinokuniya. Got Barnes's England, England, a lot of Paulo Coelho, and most importantly, Mark Z. Danielewski's House Of Leaves, which looks like a computer manual, or so Claudia insists. The edition of Hardy's A Pair Of Blue Eyes is finally out, but I thought that could wait a few months, since I just started reading Far From The Madding Crowd and I want to get through all his major novels first. Dinner with Claudia, Nasty, Shou Jie and Vaish at Liquid Kitchen, which is disgustingly overpriced. Adjourned to Shou Jie's house, which was just down the road, and now I have a hilarious video on my handphone of Vaish giving Claudia a back massage. Some people just provide endless amusement for others! Haha...
