Really should start writing my poem for that competition I've been meaning to enter since I heard about it last year. The deadline's in less than two weeks! Did a bit of research because there's a general theme, something about the elements of nature and their symbolism. Came across an interesting article that should prove useful in generating some ideas. Am afraid to show what I've written to Mr Purvis though, which is what I'd planned on doing. I fear it's going to be a rather naff piece of writing, which sounds clever, but doesn't really say anything. That has always been my biggest problem. Writing but not communicating anything. Just did a mammoth update of my blog, so I'm kind of tired. Nothing exciting happened today, unless you consider my flipping through the hymn book counting the hymns I can sing to be really fascinating. (I know 26, excluding carols. There are over 400 hymns in the hymn book. Ouch.)
