I think being out for just this little while longer has done me good, mentally speaking. Now I only have to make it through nine days! Kind of looking forward to field camp, since rations are apparently superior to cookhouse fare. (I'm sure there's some internal army logic to that which I'm just incapable of deciphering.) Going to cab to the ferry terminal later because I'm too lazy to take public transport. I hope it doesn't rain for the next nine days, at least not in Tekong. Don't particularly fancy mud, thank you very much. Wasn't going to bring a book originally, as I didn't want to have an extra object to pack when I book out next week, but I figure I'll need something that connects me to the world outside (other than my music) to keep me sane. Will be uncontactable from January 20 to 26 because access to handphones is denied when we're outfield. I miss all of you already!
