I miss my RJC friends a lot these days. Perhaps it's the dawning realisation that this is really it. We've graduated, and already people are starting to move on in their respective directions. The girls are working, the guys are slogging, and time marches on relentlessly for everyone. Yet at the same time, I'm glad to move on. God answered a prayer last week, and now I might just get what I want. Sorry to be so enigmatic, but I don't really care to talk about it until I'm certain. Anyway, they say that the friends you make in JC don't last as long as the ones you make in secondary school, and I'm sure most people will agree. All I want is to stay close to the people who mattered to me for the past two years, like some of my classmates (who ought to know who they are), some of the other Humanities people (who should also know who they are), my OG, Shaun Lum and Eugene Oh. I think that about covers it. Two years boils down to about 30-plus people whose friendship I treasure, even if I don't see them or even talk to them all that often. (I have no freaking idea why I'm typing this instead of resting, but I've done it anyway.) This week: Reminiscence Week |
