The barbers went to Tekong last Thursday, so I missed them and now have the longest hair of all the recruits in Raven. Shall enjoy it while it lasts. Booked out because of some test tomorrow that I'm taking to see if the RSAF wants me. If I really must get involved in the military as an officer, as my dad seems very keen for me to, having been an officer himself, I'd much rather join the airforce. I imagine the adrenaline rush from flying must be quite a kick. Was quite glad that I didn't miss the last 19 passing the SAF ferry terminal, so thank God for little blessings indeed. However, I was very annoyed that it took 20 minutes for the 969 I boarded at Tampines Interchange to leave the interchange. Now that's either due to gross inefficiency in the scheduling of buses or lousy planning of the interchange's layout. Guess what? It's neither. The reason for the delay was a pedestrian crossing at the entrance to the interchange, just so people can get to a MacDonald's without inconveniencing themselves too much. I was royally pissed by the time the bus got onto TPE, and the air-conditioning wasn't working. I think I'll just go and sleep. After all, I have to wake up really early again tomorrow, almost as early as in Tekong. Have to book in quite early too, even though the only thing important happening is strength training. Have a test too, but I'm either making up for it on some other date or doing it at night, unless my sergeant anticipates that it'll drag all the way past lunch. I hope they let us have a long weekend for Hari Raya!
