Am in slightly better shape after seeing my family doctor, who prescribed a strong antibiotic for me that seems to be doing something. So much for the Tekong MO and his diagnosis of a viral infection! My buddy, Walter, tells me that a lot of our sectionmates are sick, which is hardly surprising. What that whole damn island needs is to be sterilised, like what they did in Richard Preston's The Hot Zone. Or a healthy dose of disinfectant, at the very least. You might ask, Isn't that what area cleaning's for? Yes, but something is very wrong when we're using bare hands to swipe dust from under the beds and masking tape to keep windowpanes dust-free. Okay, this is going to sound totally random, but did you know that windowpane is slang for LSD? I was checking at Dictionary.com if "windowpane" were really spelt "window-pane" and gleaned that little nugget of useless information. Now could someone explain to me the connection?
