This is one nasty bug I've caught. Fever hit a new high of 39.5°C, and I've lost my voice completely. What a way to usher in 2006! Still praying that I'll be miraculously healed by tomorrow. Am halfway through Shadowmancer, and it's definitely not on par with fantasy heavyweights like The Lord Of The Rings, The Chronicles Of Narnia, His Dark Materials, and the Harry Potter series. The characterisation is sketchy and the plot feels like it's undergone one too many edits. Will read Wormwood and Tersias to see if Taylor's writing really is this bad all the time. Spent six hours today watching Numb3rs, CSI, The 4400, House, and Las Vegas. AXN is cable television heaven! I want to watch Joyeux Noël...
