Had what amounted to a first aid crash course today. Must remember to consult Shirley about first aid when I next see her. We also had our first route march. Now that was crappy, and we weren't even marching with full gear. Did you know that the electricity on Tekong doesn't come from mainland Singapore? It comes from local generators apparently, so you can't charge your handphones here because it'll blow the grid or something like that. (Physics was never my strongest suit.) Made our inaugural trip to the e-Mart, where I bought extra clothes and socks, so I won't have to frantically wash clothes every night if I don't feel like it. Also bought a pair of sandals, because as clean as Chris and his band of cleaners are making the toilet, walking barefoot in it is still gross, psychologically speaking.
