A Christmas Carol Day/Build A Snowman Day/Chocolate Pizza Day
2005-12-19 @ 10:25 p.m.

I think I turn off my handphone too quickly, so some of my SMSes don't get sent out. The network coverage here is surprisingly good, but according to Eugene, bits of my SMSes keep going missing. I wonder how everyone is doing back on the mainland. Handphone battery's almost fully drained, so am restricting my usage. I can hear one of my sectionmates talking about the Philips Curve, which is kind of surreal. (Is there no way to escape the spectre of economics? Apologies to Mr Sowden if he ever sees this.) Have two more route marches to get through before I book out, which really blows because I think my left heel's swollen. Maybe I have a bone spur too, like my mum. Need to do something to cushion my heel. It's either that or soften my boots, although I think the area around the hell is impossible to soften. Otherwise, I'll just grit my teeth in pain for the next few days until I book out...
