Popcorn Popping Day/Two Days To Go/Feast Of The Radishes
2005-12-23 @ 9:57 p.m.

I dislike marching behind people who cannot keep in step. My left shoulder aches from carrying the field pack, but marching in FBO was bearable. Oh yeah, I also hate people who whinge excessively and vocally. I realise that I really like watching the rain fall. I find it a more awesome manifestation of God than say, the sun shining. There's a raw, elemental power to a thunderstorm that touches a chord somewhere. Speaking of rain, it was pouring when I got home. Cabdriver didn't have change for $50, which is really ridiculous when you think about it, so I had to dash upstairs with my heavy duffel bag to get $12 to pay him. Ended up trudging through the house in my wet boots and didn't even bother to lock the gate, just the door. I ran into the lift holding the lock, so I shoved it into my pocket, keys and all. Now have a blister on my right foot. Coming back to the mainland felt almost like how it felt coming back from Orientation in Secondary 1 and OBS in Secondary 3. It's good to be back!
