Poinsettia Day/Our Lady Of Guadalupe Day
2005-12-12 @ 10:22 p.m.

Stupid fire alarm has been going on and off. Not for an actual fire drill, mind you, but just for sporadic bursts. Really annoying! One thing about NS is that it desensitises you to foul language. Even if you don't use it yourself, you stop feeling bothered when other people swear, especially since almost all the instructors swear at one point or another. It is definitely a part of the culture here. Anyway, I hope our class can have another party before the rest of the guys enlist. That would be nice, wouldn't it? (Just like if the world was made of Cadbury!) Messaged Liling to tell her that, but she hasn't replied. As for training, things are starting to pick up around here. Tomrrow's DI is by far the strictest of all our instructors, which means no more leniency! Two cool things I discovered today: One, there's another Ian in Platoon 1 within Raven. This is like the first time I've met so many people sharing the same first name as me. (Though nothing beats that RI-RJC senior who shares the same surname too!) Two, Sheng Rong, one of my best friends when I was in NYPS, is in Platoon 3. So is Jack, another blast from my NYPS past. On a separate note, I hope the preparations for CCIS are going well!
