St. Nicholas Day/International Bad Hair Day/Give A Secret Gift Day
2005-12-06 @ 11:21 p.m.

Have an unconditional offer from Edinburgh, which was a pleasant surprise. It was ranked seventh for English by The Guardian and ninth by The Times in 2005, which isn't too shabby at all, considering that So now I have a genuine backup plan if Cambridge and Warwick don't work out. Do you think Edinburgh'll give me two years' deferment if I can't get a PSC scholarship? It is reassuring to know that at least one out of six universities wants me. Now I just need to spend about a third of a year wondering if I'll get decent grades for the 'A' Levels. Enlisting on Friday, so I need to find a way to have someone check UCAS for me occasionally. At least I won't have a problem with my e-mail like I used to whenever I was away from home for long periods of time without Internet access. Am doing stuff now to surprise some people tomorrow night. Nothing hugely special, but exactly the sort of thing nobody expects bitchy/caustic/sarcastic/snarky me to do. Will blog about the reactions before I get enlisted, so stay tuned.
