Going off soon to meet whoever it is I'm supposed to be meeting in Orchard. Then we're supposed to shop for prom outfits. Then we'll bum around until sometime in the night, when we'll all disappear to Chinablack. I need money! Isn't it ironic that when I'm serving NS, I get paid but I don't have time to spend the money? Incidentally, why the hell would anyone want to build a 1000-metre skyscraper? Doesn't the mere thought of being in such a building inspire mild acrophobia? Japan's thinking of building one, unimaginatively named Sky City 1000. Some geologist suspects that the construction of Taipei 101 may have contributed to an increase in seismic activity in Taipei. Now that is just sad. Can you imagine if they get hit by an earthquake simply because they wanted to have this towering monstrosity? I swear there's something Freudian about countries and skyscrapers.
