When I'm finally free of the oppression of the JC curriculum that dictates I must study things that I don't really care much for, I will devote my time to expanding my French vocabulary and acquiring Italian and Latin. I'm ambivalent about Chinese at best, partly because I was never really good at it to begin with. I suppose I'll be content with retaining enough to understand a Mediacorp drama without having to refer to the English subtitles, which don't always make sense anyway. Had lunch at my dad's friend's place, which was okay, I guess. Not my kind of crowd, if you catch my drift. Incidentally, I'm now living next to a dengue hotspot. The block next to mine has one long row of potted plants, and hardly any of the residents bothers to cover their buckets and pails. Hardly surprising that they've had two dengue cases within a week, which is a lot when you consider that there are only about a dozen families living along that row.
