Say "Hey" Day/Picasso Day/Simchat Torah
2005-10-25 @ 9:11 p.m.

Today saw a most amusing exchange of SMSes between me and Eugene. (Vaish, if you're reading this, ask me about it when you next see me.) Torrential downpour today, which Ben, Ka Tsai and I could have avoided if we'd left school 15 minutes earlier or later. Of course, Ben would argue that it's really all my fault for deciding to find Eugene to pass him The Hours, but really, if Ben had just stayed in school to do more Mathematics, then everything would have been fine. Then again, the aforementioned interesting SMS conversation would not have occurred. Got home before my mum, and my dad locked the door for me this morning so I didn't have my keys. Disgruntled, I headed to the library, where I ended up reading The Eleventh Plague, which is a freaky book. All about how some psycho decides to recreate the 10 Biblical plagues because The Voice tells him to do so. Perhaps he was infected by Bornavirus too, thus altering his personality? Reading the book piqued my latent interest in infectious diseases, which have fascinated me ever since I read The Hot Zone and realised just how gruesome dying can be, so I've signed up for the ProMed mailing list. Don't worry. If you're in danger of dying from something, I'll let you know! Anyway, just thought I'd share this pieces of news from CNN. Reminiscent of Ella Minnow Pea, an epistolary novel that I bought from Bao En a few days ago. Interesting stuff, both the news and the novel.
