Oh yeah, I forgot to mention yesterday that I'm receiving a Certificate of Appreciation for Writers Inc. I feel so loved! Not like I did much anyway. Scrapped most of the second stanza that I'd written yesterday and reworked it. That's two stanzas more or less set in stone for now. I unwittingly rhymed the last lines of the two stanzas, something which Yi-Xun observed when I'd finished with the two stanzas. Not sure the connection established is particularly meaningful in the context of the poem though. Incidentally, results of a recent survey show that Vancouver is the best city to live in. The best 10 are Vancouver, Melbourne, Vienna, Geneva, Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Zurich, Toronto, and Calgary, which have now been added to my list of places to retire in. Forget New Zealand, which I'd wanted to retire to previously. The worst 10 are Port Moresby, Algiers, Dhaka, Karachi, Lagos, Phnom Penh, Abidjan, Harare, Douala, and Tehran. Very happy that we're meeting in Orchard tomorrow for Bible study! Kinokuniya, here I come... |
