Coffee Ice Cream Day
2005-09-06 @ 10:22 p.m.

Have been doing a bit of Mathematics, about which I'm feeling more secure than usual. I'm printing Dan's spiffy notes for macroeconomics, which are probably going to save my sorry arse come next week. I'm about to start writing my personal statement, but as George Eliot once wrote, "Beginnings are always difficult." Okay, so I don't exactly know where that comes from. How interesting. I just Googled that sentence, and it appears frequently enough to make it less than impressive, especially when none of the hits have anything to do with Eliot. I feel like Laura Brown in The Hours, about to bake a cake that will never measure up to the perfect cake in mind. Being told that you're a perfectionist at the tender age of 10 makes it considerably harder for you to see yourself as anything else.
