The PSC thing wasn't very helpful, and the huge crowds at Suntec didn't do anything for my nerves. I wonder who conceptualises the stuff they give out at these seminars? The CD thing was quite novel. Wanted to indulge in retail therapy to calm myself down by buying a couple of CDs, but I couldn't find anything I really wanted badly. Not in the afternoon at least, but I did get Robbie Williams's greatest hits compilation, as well as United's More Than Life. I did find some nice stuff online, specifically at Soundclick, which is worth exploring if you have the time. Anyway, what I found was Etheria, which sounds like a more percussive incarnation of Amethystium. The best track is World You Know, a 12-minute track. A pity that almost all the other MP3s available are of lower quality in terms of bitrate, and that George Icefield has discontinued this project. Come to think of it, the problem I have with finding CDs is that what I like is very hard to get in a local store. Even That CD Shop doesn't always have it, as my repeated attempts to find Magna Canta's debut have demonstrated. I found it eventually because they restocked, so now I'm waiting for them to bring in the second album, Sanctuary. I'm also waiting for Sleepthief's and Chanting Stones' debuts. (It's okay, I know you've never heard of them and you don't really care.) |
