Thank You Day/Aloha Day
2005-08-12 @ 11:59 p.m.

Caught up to Shou Jie and Yiting at the traffic junction yesterday, and was gloating because I have a life and he doesn't. Haha! I like going to Holland Village. Took a taxi there because I was running late, thanks to this woman at the library who was going on and on about some misplaced item. I think the library staff at Yishun are very nice people. Anyway, I suspect the driver cheated me! The silly man wouldn't drop me off in the middle of traffic, even though we were already on the street that leads into the heart of Holland Village. It's not like it takes very long to pay and get out of the taxi, so he wouldn't have been holding up the traffic for more than a few seconds. Major traffic jam around that area, so he made more than a dollar off me just crawling along in the traffic. The food at 211 Rooftop Terrace Cafe is nice! Their linguine carbonara is not too heavy, unlike what you get in some places. Then Shirley treated us to dessert at NYDC. The dessert I ordered was a recommended choice, but I don't think I like it very much. Think I'll stick to chocolate-flavoured desserts in future...
