World Environment Day
2005-06-05 @ 11:44 p.m.

We had dinner at Great World City again, and guess what I found there? Enchanted Spirits by Magna Canta! It was filed under acid jazz, not New Age like it was previously, so I might have missed it the last time I was at That CD Shop. In any case, it's nice. Distinctly different from Lesiëm, because Magna Canta seems more focused on the electronics (like a trance version of Agnus Dei), whereas Lesiëm gives more attention to the vocals (like a short choral version of Agnus Dei), especially on the third release, Auracle. Picked up a box set of The Lord Of The Rings trilogy OST, which I always wanted to get, but it was never really high on my priority list. Got it tonight because it was all conveniently packaged. I'm a sucker for that sort of thing, which is why I'm likely to end up buying the complete seasons of CSI if I'm not careful. The sermon today was good, one of the most straightforward that's been preached in a long time. We've also got our new Bible study materials, which look a lot more inspiring than the ones the whole church was using a while back. Huimin doesn't need my help tomorrow, so I'm going to loaf. Very much want to accompany Chun Long to Kinokuniya sometime soon, but I'm flat broke after buying those CDs. 'Tis a pity he's a pauper, to paraphrase John Ford.
