Scored 2310 for SAT I, which I'm happy with, except that the section I didn't perform well in was Writing (720), because my essay was crap. Still, I was pleasantly surprised by the perfect score for Critical Reading (800) and Math (790). Don't think I'm going to bother to retake it, because there isn't exactly a lot of room for improvement left. At the moment, I've got a freaking headache, probably from staring at the computer screen for the better part of the past two days, so I'm going to leave good old Mr Rollason's essay untouched. It'll have to wait until tomorrow, when my head feels better. Nonetheless, I will soldier on and complete the Frost essay, since I've finished it and it's more overdue than the Hitler one. Besides, I've actually written two out of five paragraphs already, so I might as well grit my teeth and get it over and done with. Our cell won the treasure hunt yesterday at the birdpark, and we had the most youths among all the cell groups. I still don't like the birdpark, even after it's been renovated. The adults in our cell were quite enthusiastic, all four of them, more than us anyway. We were generally quite content to trot along in whatever direction they took! Then the YE people went bowling, but I didn't go because I wanted to finish the two aforementioned essays. I feel dumb in retrospect, because I subconsciously knew I wasn't going to finish one, let alone both. Was really annoyed yesterday by something I read, so I messaged Shirley. I asked her why a person can so blithely plead for the very thing that he doesn't display himself, and it's so plain to me that the problem lies with him, not everyone else. The gist of her response? Humans are imperfect, and they also happen to be blind to that fact. Thank you, Shirley, for reminding me that sensible people still exist. |
