Back from Cash On Delivery, which is farce of the highest order. Not that that's a bad thing. It was all very entertaining in fact. (Why do I instinctively want to tell him to shut up whenever he says "It rules!") Anyway, it was good fun, but that's about all it did for me. There's only so much farce I can stomach at one sitting, and Cash On Delivery was a tad too long, because after a while, you find yourself counting the seconds until the next character walks onstage to tangle the web of deceit further. So Claudia, Thong and I wandered off after the play to Guthrie House and helped Coffee Bean to make some money. Whenever Claudia and Thong are in close proximity, expect a certain degree of randomness in the conversation. Haha... Didn't meet those two for dinner at Coronation because I was playing Taboo at Tim's place. What an opportunity for nostalgia that would have been! I think those three years of walking alone to the Dunearn Road bus stop have bequeathed to me an ability to be alone. Was just slightly late meeting the rest at Ang Mo Kio MRT in the morning, because I misjudged the amount of time needed to reach the station from my house. Anyway, we ended up waiting for a very tardy Paul Ho, who was 49 minutes late! He was so late, that even Hui Juan could meet us at Ang Mo Kio instead of taking 855 from Yishun. Lunch was great, even if Tim did cook too much food. Blame it on Hui Juan not eating as much as we'd expected her to! Then we played Taboo and Risk. The "old" people (aged 18 and above) thrashed the "young" people at Taboo, and I got massacred at Risk (as usual). Altogether quite a fun way to spend the afternoon, so I agree with Dan about something (getting away from the school crowd), even if I don't agree for the same reasons. |
