Nurses Day/Military Spouse Day/No Diet Day/Tuba Day
2005-05-06 @ 11:28 p.m.

Have gone on a sort of reading frenzy, and the latest read is Isaac Asimov's The End Of Eternity. I've never been a big Asimov fan, simply because I haven't read enough Asimov to decide if I am one or not, but this book wasn't too bad. The whole thing ends with an interesting opposition between Eternity in the temporal sense and Infinity in the spatial sense, essentially humanity either controls time or controls space. If he controls time, he dies out eventually. If he controls space, he guarantees a galactic empire. Didn't like the ending though, which too conveniently tied the whole thing back to actual historical events. Incidentally, Smallville is a very irritating show. Give me Roswell any day, or even better, CSI. Just found out that Channel 5 shows CSI too, a different season from the ones I'm following on AXN. Trouble is that means I need to commandeer the television for two continuous hours on Tuesday nights, quite difficult with a TVBJ subscription. Decided against doing another SAT practice test because of diminishing returns. Instead, I'm just going to have a nice sleep. Think I won't even go out tomorrow after the SAT, because Vaish didn't say exactly what she wanted to do, aside from going out. I want to watch Infection, House Of Wax and The Amityville Horror! Didn't get to watch Creep, and any of the plays that I've been wanting to watch, which is quite annoying. No fear though, some new stuff is coming up at the Esplanade in the next two months! Ben claims to want to watch Happy, but I doubt anything will come of it.

This week:

Nurses Week
