Teacher Day/Raspberry Popover Day
2005-05-03 @ 10:09 p.m.

Was assaulted by some psycho while walking to Bishan MRT. I was walking along, minding my own business, when some idiot comes barrelling along on a bicycle with neither a bell nor lights. So his verbal warning to get out his way comes too late, and he brushes past me and falls off his bicycle. Out of concern, after all I was partly responsible for the accident, I went over to see if he was okay. What does the bastard do? He punches me in the face and starts cussing at me in dialect. He has enough time to box me on the ears, before a bunch of RJC students who don't really give a damn happen to walk past, which gives me a chance to walk off. If I had had something I could have used as a weapon, I'd probably have tried to kill the guy, which is somewhat disturbing even if it would have been justifiable homicide. The first thing I did after thanking God for not getting beaten up was to ask that the guy be knocked down by a car. Not very Christian behaviour, I readily admit, but I'm only human. For those of you who are concerned about my welfare at this point, I'm fine. Really. My glasses are fine, just some scratches on the frame but the lenses are intact. My face is fine too, just slight bruising, so those of you who think it needs rearranging have been sorely disappointed. Right now I'm trying to decide if it's worth the hassle of filing a police report for assault. Chances are they'll never find him, and it was too dark for me to positively identify him.
