Pretzel Day/Bird Day
2005-04-26 @ 10:11 p.m.

Last practice for SYF today, and things are looking quite good for our ensemble. Two more days and that's one more event crossed out on my calendar. (Not that I actually use a calendar in the first place.) Then begins the countdown to May 17, when I can be (theoretically) free of CCAs for the rest of the year. I quite look forward to June, because all the non-academic stuff will be over by then. Like SYF. Like the concert. Like SAT. Like unproductive club meetings. (Boy am I grumpy today or what?) It's just that I miss having control of my own time, basically being free to do whatever I want, whenever I want. If Dan makes time to read for leisure, I make time to read for school. (Damn, that makes me sound like some deadbeat slacker that doesn't do work. Haha!) I miss having Holland Village to escape to. Junction 8 is like a cheap neighbourhood clone of Orchard, now that it's been jazzed up and renovated. (The pervert doesn't help the ambience of the place much either.) I want to live a life that doesn't revolve around the twin bodies of academics and CCAs, if that is at all possible in RJC. I suppose it is, I'm just not desperate enough to seek them out yet...
