Cuckoo Day/Anzac Day (Australia)
2005-04-25 @ 9:31 p.m.

Note to self: Never do stretching with Chun Long again. I think I sprained my finger when we were stretching before the sit-and-reach station. Don't think it's broken, because what are the odds of breaking your finger from a stretch? Anyway, for those of you who actually want to know things like this, I failed NAPFA. Ben and I have decided to follow a self-imposed training regimen which probably verges on torture, relatively speaking. We'll see how long we manage to stick to it. Today was another of those useless days in school, because Mr Sowden was on MC, so my class was left with PE, European History and Mathematics tutorials. We brought forward Mr Tay's lesson, contriving to end school at 1 pm. Walked with Li Jun and Yumun to Junction 8. (Okay, so I only caught up with them halfway there.) Li Jun went to town, Yumun wanted to cut her hair, and I wanted to buy my Billabong wallet, so we split up. Bummed around Junction 8 and tried to find out if I was needed at French Club exco interviews. (I was apparently, but no way was I hanging around for three hours just to conduct an interview!) Told Yumun her hair looked fine, grabbed lunch from Old Chang Kee, and went home. What a sad way to spend an early day off from school. Maybe I should have waited for Gerald to stop by my school? Went to the library today on my way home. Just needed to read something mindless for a change, so I spent the afternoon ploughing through Melinda Metz's Raven's Point. Straightforward good-versus-evil plot, typical teenage characters, but very easy to get through on a lazy Monday afternoon. (I'm still annoyed that I've actually read most of that Naipaul collection of letters!) Realised that I have six essays to write this week, one for every Humanities tutor. Maybe I need another brainless book for tomorrow...
