So the world has a new pope at last, Pope Benedict XVI. At least the name's an improvement from John Paul. Seriously though, Cardinal Ratzinger strikes me as being very conservative in terms of doctrine, something that is not likely to sit well with the ecumenical movement. Not that I am very much in favour of ecumenism in the first place. I finally bought the black shirt for SYF from U2, and I had to try three outlets before I hit the jackpot. Was on the verge of heading to Cedele in town with Chernise, Dan and Mel, but I figured that I want Frye's Anatomy Of Criticism more than food. (The sacrifices I make in pursuit of my interests sometimes astound me.) I hate probability. I can't be bothered to work everything out logically, which is why I liked calculus so much, because it's so formulaic after a while that you don't have to reason it out any longer. Today was a historic moment for me, because for once, Mr Kwok actually had something good to say about our presentation, and he didn't even hijack it. Maybe it's because of the way I organised the presentation in accordance to his own outline for a source-based answer? I need sleep badly... |
