Good Friday/Holi/Pecan Day/Full Moon Day
2005-03-25 @ 11:16 p.m.

Met Hui Juan and Sarah for brunch, and Sarah was late as usual. Shirley joined us later, and we all ate fishball noodles and bought barley from the same stalls! It's so freaky that Mel Ng thinks there's "something going on" between Hui Juan and I. That's just so wrong! We both have better taste than that. Haha! Good Friday service was very staid, and Uncle Kenneth grew steadily incomprehensible as the service wore on. I liked the prayers though. There's something about liturgical diction that conveys a sense of wonder and awe. I can understand why for years the Catholics refused to conduct services in any language other than Latin. If the liturgy in English has such an effect on me, imagine what Latin would do. After service, we had our first practice for POP! and we did four songs today! I had to sing lead for three of them, which was very tiring. The song I liked best was the only one I didn't have to sing lead for, which was Still. Only had to sing the first verse and chorus, then I got to harmonise for the rest of the song. Harmonising is very fun! I finally figured out the drum beat I've been trying to work out since last year. Yeah, it's quite sad trying to play the drums and failing terribly time and again. Haha, never mind. I'll improve! Was dragged to dinner at Clementi MacDonald's by Hui Juan, but only because she promised that we'd eat there and to lend me money for my dinner. I don't have money to pay her back until next month actually. Oh yeah, I applied for SAT this morning, at around 1 am. Didn't know they send your results to four universities for free, in the sense that once you pay for the registration you get to send four copies of your results. I sent my future results to Harvard, Princeton, Stanford and Yale. Do you think any of them will want me? Haha, I'm desperate to get away from Singapore, even if it means I have to go to an American university to do it instead of a British one. Kelong tomorrow!
