Chocolate Covered Raisins Day/Houdini Day/Purim
2005-03-24 @ 11:59 p.m.

I have introduced Eugene Oh to the wonders of Marks & Spencer's comfort food! Woke up early in the morning, and decided that I didn't feel like meeting Chun Long to have breakfast in Ghim Moh, so I went back to sleep. Dragged myself to school for a French Club meeting, and Yvonne ought to know by now that I'm immune to blackmail of any sort. If anything, I'm perfectly capable of responding in kind. I did receive a compliment though, on my perfect grammar in the letter I wrote to Alliance Française, which I acknowledged with no humility whatsoever because I was really irritated during the whole meeting. As I told Shirley, what's the use in calling the printer when I don't have any details for him? I don't have the design in colour to show him, I don't have the full list of orders (although people have responded much better to my second e-mail on that matter), and I hate calling people on the telephone anyway. Will settle this issue once I get a clearer picture of the situation. So I took the liberty of walking out of the meeting, whereupon she threatened to sack me, hence the statement earlier in this entry. Didn't really give a damn by then, because I wanted to go meet the POP! team in Orchard. (YE people are so much easier to get along with. Cheers to you people for being yourselves!)

Bought my books from Borders, then went to Topshop to find Hui Juan and Rachel. Sarah was there too, tagging along so as to get home late. All of us eventually ended up in the KFC at Shaw House, hogging the tables. Haha! I don't know how to sing two of the songs we're doing during practice tomorrow! One's the Smallville theme song, the other's some song by Third Day, which has a melody that's really hard to get in your head. I can't believe we're singing that stupid Ocean Au that Audrey used to play repeatedly on the computer! F.I.R. kicks his ass anytime, as Rachel surely agrees. We should sing Lydia, which sounds way better, even if it is harder to play. After the meeting, I went to shoot pool with Ben Low, Gerald, Jonathan, Paul Ho and Yan Leen. Yeah! Finally played pool for the third time after so many months. We kept sinking the black ball in the wrong pocket, which is quite funny, I guess. Read The Dosadi Experiment on the MRT ride home, which I think isn't as good as the Dune series, but is quite readable nonetheless. Will move on to The Eyes of Heisenberg and The Green Brain in due course. Have also started reading three short stories that bridge gaps in the prequels to the prequels of the original Dune novels. Interesting, but ultimately forgettable stuff.
