Everything You Do Is Right Day/St. Urho's Day/Curlew Day
2005-03-16 @ 9:58 p.m.

Argh! The library system was down, so I had to return all the drama anthologies. The first day of SIMUN starts at an inhuman hour, but ends at a fairly decent time, early enough for me to get some studying done. Have decided to aim for two As, one B, one C and one A2. For those who know me, it should be quite obvious which grade corresponds to which subject. By the way, isn't it interesting that the only post from Mr Sowden that elicits a major reaction from us is about gays in Singapore? Looking through courses at Cambridge and Warwick, and I'm quite taken with the idea of doing English at either university. The problem with Oxford is the funny attire you have to wear when you take your examinations. That's just weird. Must there always be a gap between what we want and what we are dealt eventually? Would that it were not so, although Hardy would certainly beg to differ. There are Clyms and Eustacias everywhere, but it's really the Diggorys and Thomasins of this world who are happy. Unless you're a Christian Cantle, in which case you're just sad, like a certain International History tutor. You can practically see the wicked grin on my face as I type this. Back to Mathematics for now...
