Feeling vaguely annoyed with myself for misplacing a few of my readings on the Russian Revolution. I have a sneaking suspicion that they're somewhere in my room, and that they'll turn up if I look for them long enough. On the other hand, I'm trying to remember if I gave them to Yi-Xun by mistake. Suppose I'll just borrow them from someone nice and photocopy them tomorrow. I realised last night that I wrote six poems in as many days. No comments on the quality, though I think some of the lines are worthy of preservation. Was immensely pleased that Sophia has read my poetry, because at least now I know someone does. (Yes, Eugene, I know you're reading or will read if I ask you to anyway, and I'm grateful for that!) Great. Ben has agreed to pass me the readings I need photocopied, latest by Monday. Three things occurred today that amused me, but I'll only relate two, because I want to find out how the last one turned out first. The first was during Mr Sowden's tutorial, when he asked us a question. So I whispered an answer to Ben, which turns out to be exactly what Rui Min says later. The situation repeated itself again when I whispered the answer to Ben, who repeated it, and loudly enough for Mr Sowden to hear too. Haha! The second was during Mr Purvis's tutorial right after that, when I spoke my longest sentence this week. Mr Purvis has this very funny expression whenever he thinks someone's about to say something in his class. Quite amusing... |
